"Saddle Pals" have returned to health and are ready for new quality loving homes. Some of the horses are trained English and some western. Most of the time, HPS has horses that would be suitable for a child's first horse. No horse can teach a child to ride and it is important to have an adult who can work with the child or have the child take riding lessons.
These horses have been evaluated and ridden by HPS members and a professional trainer, however most will still need reconditioning since they have been ridden only once a week, sometimes less. We do not have any horses that are appropriate for riders weighing over 145 pounds at this time. Horses shown by appointment only, contact horseprotection@windstream.netor call (704) 855-2978.
